These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Baldo, an AI-powered personal assistant accessible via WhatsApp, SMS, and the website at baldo.ai (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

Baldo is an AI assistant that helps you manage email, calendar, tasks, and information through natural conversation on WhatsApp and SMS. The Service uses artificial intelligence (Anthropic Claude) to process your requests and provide responses.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Account and Access

Your account is identified by your phone number. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your phone and WhatsApp/SMS account.
You may optionally connect your Google or Microsoft account to enable email and calendar features. You may disconnect these integrations at any time.

4. Subscription and Payment

The Service offers a free trial period followed by a paid subscription.
Subscription fees are billed monthly through Stripe. Prices are displayed before you subscribe.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate any laws.
Send harmful, abusive, harassing, or threatening content.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or disrupt the Service.
Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited messages to others.
Impersonate another person or entity.
Use the Service in a way that could harm minors.

6. AI Limitations and Disclaimers

Not professional advice: Baldo is an AI assistant, not a licensed professional. Responses should not be relied upon as legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice.
Accuracy: AI responses may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. Always verify important information independently.
Email and calendar actions: Baldo may draft emails or suggest calendar changes on your behalf. You are responsible for reviewing and approving any actions taken through your connected accounts.
Availability: The Service is provided "as is" and may experience downtime, errors, or interruptions. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and AI integrations, is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the content you send to the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide the Service.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by ceasing to send messages and cancelling your subscription.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or for any reason with reasonable notice.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. For material changes, we will notify you via WhatsApp or the website.
